2019 is in full swing and I’m already preparing for our not-so baby girl going to school again.
This past holiday was so needed and longed for that I couldn’t help but go through all our photos again last night.
There’s one specific photo of me and our girl, and I couldn’t help but just stare at it and realize how much my heart feels for her.
so here goes...
”Ou dearest little warrior of a girl. You are turning 4 this year. And although for you it’s the year where you only have 1 finger left to turning a full hand ful, for me it signifies a massive journey we have walked with you for 4yrs.
Your birth was more bitter than sweet.
We hoped and prayed that you’d be born perfectly healthy and ‘normal’ and even trusted that although the last scan still showed no improvements, we hoped that supernaturally you’d be healed come your birth...but alas
The 16months after your birth meant numerous doctors visits, specialists consultations & 2 massive operations that broke my mommy heart everytime we had to take you into theatre.
It’s been 26 months since your last operation, and although we know the future holds more, for now I adore you and where you are at.
I adore your feisty personality that doesn’t allow anyone to get you down.
I adore that you love life with all you have.
I adore that you are a go-getter who aims to perfect what you take on.
I adore your sympathy towards others who hurt.
I adore your gentle spirit that discerns things for what they are.
I adore your face, even if it physically might change a bit in the future with ops waiting.
I adore your love for me, your daddy & little brother.
I adore how you already reflect Him in your coming and going.
I adore that though you are fierce you still need and want me when you hurt.
I adore that I get to be your mother
and last but not the least...
I adore that I know even in it all, there is a testimony that’s going to come from you and your life.
May your heart never grow weary in growing in your identity.
May society and it’s standards of what ‘is’ be nothing but a joke that you laugh off.
May you never doubt of how BREATHTAKINGLY beautiful you are!!
Your name resonates who you are: Amiah (beloved)!!”

Your biggest fan always
